“Urbagri4Women” in 7 European countries
The first coordination meeting of the project “Urbagri4Women – Innovative practices and urban initiatives in the field of agriculture to promote integration of migrant women into the host society” was held from 1 to 4 of March in Perugia, Italy.
The kickoff meeting brought together AIDGLOBAL from Portugal, AMSED from France, CARDET from Cyprus, GYROS from England, IED from Greece, Südwind from Austria and TAMAT from Italy, the promoter of the initiative.
The 24 month project involves educational and recreational activities, training and cultural initiatives promoting intercultural dialogue and a welcoming host society, involving the participation of public administrations, social partners, immigrant organizations and other relevant stakeholders.
Urbagri4Women is funded by the European Comission trought the “ Asylum, Migration and Integration” Fund (HOME/2015/AMIF/AG/INTE), promoted by TAMAT (Italy) in partnership with the following organizations: AIDGLOBAL – Acção e Integração para o Desenvolvimento Global (Portugal), Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (Greece), GYROS (United Kingdom), Südwind (Austria), AMSED – Association Migration Solidarité et Échanges pour le Développement (France) and CARDET (Cyprus).
