Third coordination meeting in Cyprus
On the 15th and 16th of January, the third coordination meeting of the Urbagri4Women project took place in Nicosia, Cyprus.
The meeting was attended by all the partner organizations, which made a positive evaluation of the project’s first year. The partners debated as well the expected results and outlined the activities for the second year, when the training sessions for the migrants that integrate the project will be initiated.
CARDET, the host organization of this meeting, introduced the other partners to the several locations that, at Cyprus, will be rehabilitated through the community gardens.
The Urbagri4Women project runs until November 2018 and intends to foster the integration of migrant women in the host society, enabling them to develop innovative and subsistence projects in the agriculture field. It is co-financed by the European Commission through the “Asylum, Migration and Integration” fund, and it involves 7 Organizations from 7 countries from the European Union: AIDGLOBAL (Portugal), AMSED (France), CARDET (Cyprus), GYROS (England), IED (Greece), Südwind (Austria), and TAMAT, leading partner of the initiative (Italy).
